    The former site of the headquarters of the 7th corps, Chinese Red Army， is located in Eastern Guangdong Center, No.39 of liberation street in Baise. This Center mainly consists of the front, middle and rear halls. Along two sides of the three main halls of the center are symmetrical wing-rooms and corridors.All the buildings are well structured and richly decorated.
    In 1929, Zhang Yunyi announced the start of Baise Revolt and the birth of 7th Corps of Red Army at this site. After the establishment of 7th Corps of Red Army, the headquarters was set up here, and it witnessed the eventful years during which Deng Xiaoping and Zhang Yunyi led Baise Revolt and revolutionary struggle in Youjiang Base.
    The Central Party Committee, the State Council and the Party Committee and the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region pay high attention to the preservation of former site of 7th Corps of Red Army. In 1977, Deng Xiaoping gave an inscription here. In 1988, the State Council publicized it as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit. Through years’ efforts, the former site has been renovated and now it becomes an important place for people to recalling older proletarian revolutionists such as Deng Xiaoping and the great achievements of Baise Revolt, pursuing education on patriotism and revolutionary tradition. It is also a site for people to recollect the historical culture of southern Lingnan and to appreciate the predecessors’ excellent art of architecture. In June 1997, it was labeled as the first batch of patriotism education base of China.
