In time of the Anti-Japanese War, in Baiyang Lake where shallow lakes and reeds sea were linked, there was an army that appeared and disappeared mysteriously, and came and went without casting a shadow. They wiped out the traitors, destroyed the watchtowers and ambushed the enemies, which composed a paean for people’s war. This army which made enemies shiver but common people rejoice is an anti-Japanese force called Yan-Ling Force in Baiyang Lake.
Located in the cultural court of Baiyang Lake, Yan-Ling Force Memorial covers an area of 1666 square meters and has more than 260 pieces of historical pictures and 100 relics which witnessed the bloody battles in anti-Japanese war. Through these documents, materials and objects such as historical pictures, scripts and diagrams, the glorious progress from the start of Yan-Ling Force to its victory in anti-Japanese war is factually reflected.
In the long time of Baiyang Lake people’s fighting, the Yan-Ling spirits of daring to struggle and being quick-witted reflect Chinese national characters and integrity. Time may rub down the glorious but short-lived past, but the Yan-Ling spirits educated one generation after another with the development of history.
