The battle while Crossing the Chishui River Four Times was a decisive victory of Red Army, under the personal command of Mao Zedong after Zunyi Conference.
      From Jan. 29th to Mar. 22nd in 1935, Mao Zedong, with his unique and exceptional perspicacity, flexibly commanded about 30,000 people to fight against Kuomintang Army, whose manpower was ten times more than the Red Army. Mao implemented various tactics such as moving thousands of miles from east to west, up and down for several times from south to north - now in the north and then in the south, and repeatedly using ingenious military moves to mislead enemies. All these have created a miracle of defeating the strong by the weak. In this battle, there were over 40 fights of different scales, wiping out more than 18,000 enemies. Since then, the Central Red Army had ultimately reversed the losing situation and taken the initiative of strategic transfer. And this battle is a great pride in Mao Zedong’s military career.
