    The former headquarters of Jin Cha Ji Military Command is located in Jingangku village in Wutai County, Shanxi Province. It sits west facing east, and adjoins to the foot of the mountain, being strategically located. The overall architectural style bears the characters of Ming and Qing dynasties in the North.
      Jin Cha Ji military command is the first front-line military commanding agency established by the Party and the army, after penetrating behind enemy lines in the early period of the Anti-Japanese War. It played an important role and was recorded gloriously in the history of Anti-Japanese War. In December, 1937, Comrade Nie Rongzhen, the NO.115 vice divisional commander of the Eighth Route Army at that time was appointed to establish Jin Cha Ji anti-Japanese base areas behind enemy lines. He led the commanding agency to station in Jingangku on March 8th, 1937, with the headquarters being set up in the yard. Then it became the first anti-Japanese base area behind enemy lines. There, Commander Nie led and organized the Anti-Japanese War and regional revolution.
      The site was listed as an important heritage site by the People’s Government of Shanxi province in August 1986, as well as a patriotic and moral education base by the Provincial Party Committee and the People’s Government of Shanxi.
