    The site of criminal evidence by Unit 731 of invading Japanese troops is located in the former headquarters of Unit 731, Xinjiang Street No. 25 in cottage area in Harbin. After renovation, it is opened to the outside as a basic exhibition hall. There are 15 show rooms displaying a lot of pictures, physical evidence and real evidence, which denounce the bloody crimes by Unit 731.
      The exhibition hall, covering 1,500 square meters, was a biological warfare base in southern suburbs of Harbin. It was built up by Japanese invaders on the eve of the Second World War. 731 forces are the special troops under the edict of Japanese imperator. According to the material, merely from 1939 to 1945, at least 3,000 people had been cruelly killed as the experimental subjects. During the biological warfare by Japanese invaders, at least 300,000 people had been massacred. On the eve of Japanese surrender, most facilities were blown up to destroy the criminal evidence.
     Since 1983, through twice authorization by the People’s Government in Heilongjiang, the 23 criminal evidence sites have been listed as the key provincial cultural relics reserve units.
