    The Memorial of Ma Jun in Ning’an City, being built in August, 1995, has a building area of 1283 square meters and a total area of 5000 square meters. It is located in Riverside Park of Ning’an. Ma Jun, a pioneer revolutionary activist of Chinese Communist Party, had devoted himself to revolution since adolescence. In 1928, he was murdered by Zhang Zuolin and died a heroic death.
      There are two basic exhibitions in the Memorial of Ma Jun. One is about the life story of Ma Jun and the other is historical relics of Ning’an. The display of Ma Jun’s life story vividly represents martyr Ma Jun’s brilliant revolutionary career through the implements he used during his life time, as well as historical documents and artworks recording his revolutionary story. Through plentiful exhibits and artifacts, the display of historical relics in Ning’an reveals the long history and profound cultural deposits.
      In 1999, the display of martyr Ma Jun’s life story was rated as one of the top ten excellent displays in Heilongjiang. In 2001, the Memorial of Ma Jun was named as the national patriotic education demonstration base by the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the CPC. In 2004, it was then listed into the national 100 classic red tourism scenic spots.
