The Memorial Hall of the First Red Army Group is located in Bing’ an Old Town of Chishui City, Guizhou Province. It is the only memorial hall for the First Red Army Group in China.
On January 25th, 1935, Lin Biao led the First Red Army Group and the Second Red Army Division to Bing’an Ancient Town, and then he set up the General Headquarters of the First Red Army Group and the Division Headquarters of the Second Red Army Division in the downtown of Bing’an. Here he guided the famous Huangpi Cave Battle, and Fuxing Battle in Chishui, Guizhou, which revealed the prelude of “Crossing Chishui He for Four Times”.
The memorial hall covers 586 square meters, with 390 square meters for exhibition. The exhibition contains five parts, namely “Prologue”, “Moving Toward the Northwest of Guizhou”,“ Fighting in Chishui He”, “ Crossing Chishui He for Four Times” and “The Red Bing’An”. Over 500 exhibits in the exhibition hall comprehensively present the tough fighting in Chishui.
