Former Residence of Wang Ruofei in Anshun City

    Wang Ruofei was born in 1896 in Anshun City, Guizhou Province. He engaged himself in the revolution from his youth, holding a variety of posts such as deputy chief of the Eighth Route Army, general secretary of the central committee of the CPC, secretary of the south bureau in the central committee of the CPC, etc. He died in a plane crash at Heicha Mountain, Xing County in Shanxi Province on April 8, 1946.
       The former residence of Wang Ruofei, located in No 174, the North Street, Xixiu District of Anshun City, is a wooden verdant tile building with domestic house style in Qing dynasties. The house holds many valuable materials, including the document of his revolutionary activities when studying in Japan and France at his young age, the photos when working with Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai and other leaders, the eulogies written by the CPC Central Committee and leaders after his death, and books and publications relating to him.
As a thematic museum, the new exhibition hall of former residence of Wang Ruofei is a complex of 11 halls and multimedia showroom, illustrating his significant achievement at different stages and his contribution to Chinese revolution.
