The site of Lianghekou Conference of the Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army is located in Lianghe Village, Xiaojin County. Lianghe Village is in the north of Xiaojin County, bordering Jinchuan County in the west, Fubian and Jiesi Village in the south, and Barkam and Li County in the southwest, 69 kilometers away from the county town of Xiaojin. Lianghekou Conference Site was originally the Guan Yu Temple, a place to enshrine and worship Guan Yu, the God of War. From 26th to 28th in June, 1935, the CPC Central Committee held a conference in Lianghekou, which was second only to Zunyi Conference in terms of historical significance in the history of Long March of the Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army. Lianghekou Conference is one of the most important conferences in CPC’s history. It studied strategic situation and issues of organization, unified strategic policies and actions, laid the foundation for strategies of proceeding northward, and kicked off the fight against right deviation of Zhang Guotao. In 1980, the site was listed as provincial cultural unit by the Peoples Government of Sichuan Province and the provincial patriotism education base. In May 2006, it was inscribed among the sixth batch of key unit of preservation of cultural relics.
