    Located in Mount Yuanbao, Chuanzhusi town, Songpan county, covering an area of 192,700 square meters, Monument Park of Long March consists of three parts: the main monument, large-scale granite stone carvings, and the exhibition room. The main monument, 41.30 meters high, stands on the top of Mount Yuanbao, consisting of the bronze statue of Red Army soldiers, the tablet, and the foundation bed.
      Against the snow mountain, facing the lawn, the main monument is spectacular especially under the sunlight of the setting sun, which is crowned as China’s First Golden Monument. The large-scale granite stone carvings groups are 12.5 meters high, 72 meters long and 8 meters wide. They were exquisitely carved and combined with 1440 pieces of granite amounting to 1160 cubic meters. The characters depicted were divided into nine groups, namely the Pioneers, Marching Forward Courageously, Proceeding Northward with Solidarity, A Small Rest in the Mountains, Deep Feeling on the Lawn, Funeral During the March, Retrospection and Thinking, and Reunion of the Great Spirits. They artistically reproduce the fighting course during the Long March of the Red Army with unprecedented scope in China. The arrangements of the showroom are special. On the two sides of the vestibule hang more than ten horizontal inscribed boards written by the leaders of the central authorities and the veteran Red Army men. The indoor exhibits show the fighting course of the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 25th Red Army, and pictures of other memorial buildings of Long March around the country.
