During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries represented by Mao Zedong and Zhu De combined the basic principles of Marxism with the concrete practice of the Chinese revolution after the setbacks suffered in the Autumn Harvest Uprising at Hunan-Jiangxi border and Nanchang Uprising. Having sized the situation, they led Revolutionary Army of Workers and Peasants to Jinggangshan Mountain and established the first rural revolutionary base area encircled by the White regime.

The spirit of Jinggangshan, the transformation and sublimation of thousands of years of Chinese national spirit, is the precious spirit leading the Chinese revolution to victory and the spiritual drive advancing the socialism with Chinese characteristics and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
