Three generations of Saihanba Forest Farmers have persisted in planting trees and established 1.12 million mu of artificial forests with gritty and never-say-die spirit. And all of them has created the Saihanba spirit of "loyalty to mission, hard work, scientific truth-seeking, and green development".

In August 2017, Xi Jinping gave important instructions on the touching stories of the builders for the Saihanba Forest Farm in Hebei, emphasizing that the whole party and the whole society shall adhere to the concept of green development, promote the spirit of Saihanba, and persevere in promoting the construction of ecological civilization.
