China's announcement that it will strive to achieve carbon peak by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060 is a major strategic decision based on promoting the construction of a community of shared future for mankind and the realization of sustainable development, which requires China's hard work. China is working out an action plan for reaching the peak of carbon, extensively and deeply carrying out the action, and supporting qualified local governments, key industries and key enterprises to take the lead in reaching the peak. China will strictly control coal-fired power generation projects, and strictly limit the increase in coal consumption over the 14th Five-Year Plan period, and phase it down in the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
