Financial English has not only the characteristics of general English, but also its own unique features, such as abundance in proper nouns, terms, and abbreviations. So in order to be accurate, the following two points should be paid attention to.

1. Literal translating for terms.

Literal translation should be adopted in financial translating. Nouns or verbs, provided they are of sole meaning and unique to finance, had better be translated as what they have been accepted.

2. Grasp of the meaning in the context.

Some words seem like general words, but possess special meanings in financial language, for example: “function” is for a mathematical relation; “futures” is for bulk commodities bought or sold at an agreed price for delivery at a specified future date.
