President Xi Jinping, also the general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Central military Commission, sent a letter on April 6^th to congratulate Xiamen University on its 100th anniversary of and extended a warm congratulation and sincere greeting to all faculties and students both at home and abroad.

 Xi Jinping stressed that a new journey is starting in China which aims to build a modern socialist country in an all-round way. Xiamen University is expected to fully implement the party's educational policy, earnestly practice the fundamental task of foster character and civic virtue. Then, he hoped Xiamen University to educate students for both the party and the country, and to build a world-class university with the times. He also hoped that Xiamen University has an increasing comprehensively ability for the regional development and national strategy. Then, new and greater contributions will be made to strengthen the cohesion and centripetal force of the Chinese nation, build a modern socialist country in an all-round way and realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
