In the past few days, president Xi Xi Xi Xi Jinping, the General Secretary of the China Communist Party, replied via a letter to Raul Castro, the first Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, and Dias-canel, the President of the Republic of Cuba. The reply expressed the appreciation for Cuban leaders’ congratulation on China's comprehensive achievement in its fight against poverty.

Xi Jinping says, China and Cuba are good friends, good comrades and good brothers. In recent years, the traditional friendship between China and Cuba is deepening day by day, and friendly cooperation is developing in all-round way. In the battle against COVID-19, China and Cuba stood side by side to help each other and the friendship between the two countries has been sublimated. China will, as always, support Cuba in taking the socialist road, and promote China-Cuba relations to a new level.
